I use foobar for everything, because there is nothing it does not excel at. if you are using XP/Windows engine for music, of course the sound sucks.but ASIO and WASAPI certainly are amazing). I use WASAPI with vista, but if one is on XP, ASIO is most certainly the way to go. the sound is determined by what output protocol one chooses.
